The PH of this formula is approximately 3.8. Lactic acid has pKa of 3.8 and pKa (measure of acidity) is the most important aspect to consider in formulation with acid. When PH and pKa are close to each other, it means that there is an ideal balance between salt and acidity which maximize the benefits of acids and reduce irritation.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA is ideal for dry, combination or normal skin type, but those with sensitive skin should patch test first and start with lower concentration of Lactic acid as they can cause damage or irritation.

It is considered safe to useLactic Acid 10% + HA serum during pregnancy but in low concentrations, such as 5% version of lactic acid. But avoid using this in higher concentration such as 10% Lactic acid.
Lactic acid helps to treat acne prone skin by exfoliating dead skin cells and preventing blocked pores. But if you have active acne or sensitive skin, start with lower concentration than gradually increase its concentration when your skin develops tolerance.
